About Me

Mayya Teytel-Cocozza, M.S., CCC-SLP, CBIST, TSSLD-BE

Mayya Teytel-Cocozza is a New York State Licensed and ASHA Certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Mayya is a certified brain injury specialist trainer. Additionally, Mayya holds NYS TSSLD certificate with bilingual extension in the Russian language.

Mayya holds a Master of Science degree from Long Island University, Brooklyn and Bachelor’s degree with a psychology minor from Brooklyn College.

Mayya is currently working as an Adjunct Professor and Clinical Educator within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Long Island University – Brooklyn Campus.

As the Adjunct Professor in the CSD Program, Mayya teaches graduate and undergraduate level courses including Aphasia/Adult Neurogenic Disorders; Diagnostic Practicum: Adults and Introduction to Communication Disorders. As the Clinical Educator, Mayya provides clinical education and supervision to graduate students at the Downtown Brooklyn Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, Long Island University. Mayya demonstrates clinical concentrations in the areas of neurogenic disorders.
